About iShares iBonds 2021 Term High Yield and Income ETF
This ETF aims to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg 2021 Term High Yield and Income Index. It primarily invests over 90% of its assets directly in the underlying index's constituent securities. A smaller portion, up to 10%, may be allocated to financial derivatives like futures, options, and swap contracts, as well as cash and cash equivalents. The benchmark index itself is comprised of U.S. dollar-denominated, taxable, fixed-interest corporate bonds. These bonds are rated either high yield (sub-investment grade) or BBB (lower investment grade, or equivalent), and are specifically chosen for their maturity dates. All included bonds are scheduled to mature within a defined period, specifically between January 1, 2021, and December 15, 2021. It operates as a non-diversified investment vehicle.
